We have been firm friends since meeting in 1979 at a Yachtmaster course by the Tower of London Polly. Only two of the students rushed to the pub for a quickly in the 10min break. Guess who. Since then we have shared numerous sailing adventures many of which were quite hairy but Lawrence was as dependable a friend as one could ever wish for. I will miss him greatly.
